Located at 14886 Traverse Ridge Rd, this restaurant charms with stunning panoramic views that enhance every visit, whether you’re enjoying a leisurely lunch or a weekend brunch.
The atmosphere here is inviting and warm—never pretentious—but it still carries a refined elegance that makes dining feel special. Guests often note how the ambiance effortlessly combines comfort and modern style, creating an ideal setting to relax and savor each bite.
The cuisine at Royal On Ridge leans into a diverse menu that showcases both classic comfort foods and elevated dishes. Popular items that frequently please include the indulgent baked Brie, which melts in your mouth with creamy richness, and the steak tacos bursting with bold, satisfying flavors that many rave about as a must-try. Another crowd favorite is the chicken fried chicken on biscuits, a hearty dish offering crispy textures and tender meat that hits all the right notes for a fulfilling brunch or lunch.
Sides like garlic-infused French fries and delectably crispy potato skins provide the perfect companions to the main courses, delivering layers of flavor and texture that keep your palate intrigued. Cocktails are also highly recommended here, with guests praising their creativity and perfect balance.
That said, the experience isn’t without some inconsistencies. Some dishes like the glazed pork belly have been described as somewhat bland, and the pizza—despite its appealing look—has faced criticism for a dry crust and an overly sweet sauce that diminish what could have been a standout offering. However, these occasional missteps don’t overshadow the overall quality and care apparent in many other menu items.
Service at Royal On Ridge consistently earns praise for being friendly and attentive, enhancing the guest experience without being overbearing. The wait times are reasonable, contributing to a relaxed yet polished dining rhythm that keeps patrons coming back.
In sum, Royal On Ridge excels as a destination where guests can enjoy fresh, flavorful food in a setting that feels both intimate and stylish. Whether you’re drawn in by the spectacular views, the inviting ambiance, or the crave-worthy steak tacos and baked Brie, this Draper gem promises a dining experience layered with comfort and culinary artistry, leaving you eager to return and explore more of their menu.
Oh the Ridge comes so close to providing a unique ski lodge atmosphere with pretty good food. The views are amazing and you really have this cozy yet contemporary feel. It doesn't feel haughty. Just enough to feel good. The food is good in general but the bad ones really fall to the floor. The potato skins were pretty well done, while the glazed pork belly started to show some blandness. Lasagna was absolutely disappointing with chili and spicy ingredients mixed into it. And the carrot cake wasn't really hearty and well made (maybe a cake mix). Compared to the price, it was a solid experience. Great selection of beer and drinks. Will absolutely return. I just want them to tighten it up slightly for the extra star.
Second time here and the brunch was great. Also the fries are delicious. We had a burrito the chicken fried chicken on biscuits and pizza. Very yummy!!
I absolutely love this place! The music, food(especially baked Brie) and cocktails are all fantastic, and the service was excellent. Plus, you don’t have to wait forever to get a seat.
Beautiful location, decent service. amazing steak tacos oh my goodness just order the steak tacos can’t go wrong. the french fries with the garlic were amazing too. Unfortunately After one bite of eating the amazing looking pizza you just become sad because it tasted awful. The crust is like dry stale cardboard with weird mozzarella cheese, the sauce and meat is too sweet.
Super good experience here. The food was fresh and the vibes here are nice. Our waiter was nice too. There were other options I wanted to try from the menu, so I’m excited to come back!
